Welcome to the CJMS family!
Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about our Christa Jyoti Mission Higher Secondary School Community.Education is a life-long learning process. Learning happens all the time; not only in a pre-designated place called the school. It happens in the home, between home and school too. The home’s and school’s mission therefore is to provide a learning environment and opportunities to the children as the learners.
Our staff is working hard to prepare engaging and rewarding learning experiences for all students. At CJMS! Shaping young, impressionable minds is one of life’s biggest challenges. We aim to empower our students to grow as individuals with strong open discerning minds with an international perspective, preparing them to make a mark in the global world. We place high value on our partnership with parents, families, and community. We consider it a privilege to work with our kids every day to help them be their very best selves.
We believe that each and every student has a gift to share with the world, and we work hard to unlock their highest potential. We have high expectations of our students, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all CJMS students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens and critical thinkers. CJMS aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in middle school but also in high school, career, relationships, and life-long learning. The developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children provides all the areas of a child's development; physical, social, emotional and cognitive.Christa Jyoti students will be taught to view themselves as learners and to think about what it looks like to be a good learner and thinker. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are as important as content knowledge to help student be successful in middle school, help them understand what is required of them to be a good learner inside and outside of the classroom. Talk about qualities and learning behaviors such as: taking positive risks, viewing errors as opportunities, working to recover from a mistake, giving and receiving feedback, asking questions, collaborating with peers, setting goals, planning with a purpose, and tracking their own progress. Students need both high challenge and high support to grow as learners, and we look forward to helping students maximize their growth at CJMS.
Please continue to visit our website for updates throughout the year. We invite you to be our partners in our work. We look forward to working with families to accomplish great things for our students!
